When timelines filled with Adele love, with only a hint of a comment on Adele’s ‘new weight’, it felt like a real turning point after over a year of eye-rolling whenever her figure makes headlines. Grazia turned to Google and realised… nothing has changed.
What stood out to me with this story is that it doesn't seem to have been pushed through by a brand, so journalists are clocking on to data sources such as Google Trends and using that data in their own stories.

Trump's fridge, haunted houses, unpaid overtime and grown up Play-Doh
Morning,
We're jam-packed full of creative campaigns today! Bit of a halloween special, but also I wanted to note something interesting I noticed.
This article referencing Adele, was created (from what I can see) solely by the journalist. It seems like she has used trends data, and also social data and compared them. I thought this was an interesting watch out. If journalists are getting more savvy with data, then perhaps some of us need to up our game!
I'd be really interested to hear your thoughts on this.
Have a great week,
