CAMPAIGN OF THE WEEK

More people die taking selfies than in shark attacks
Reboot Online are killing it recently. Latest stats are 60 placements and counting for this simple idea that uses survey data. The idea combines trends with stats and is clearly very newsworthy, making it my campaign of the week!
CAMPAIGNS
Tesco to sell plasters in different skin tones
Nothing needed to be said here - love it. Great, simple campaign by Tesco identifying a need in the market that somehow nobody had thought of before.
Stormzy receives first Greggs ‘black card’ handing him free pastries for life
Everybody bow down to Greggs please. I think they could have taken the rest of the week off...
Move over Marie Kondo: The new decluttering trend taking the cleaning world by storm
A campaign that is a clever way of using data and trends. AGY47 identified a potential trend (Dostadning) that could relate to a client and built a story around that, which included commentary from them. They've now built links from Hello Magazine, Ideal Home and Yahoo with this story.
The London Eye becomes a pub to celebrate its 20th birthday
Great campaign/stunt by The London Eye. I love campaigns that tie in other channels and this seems like a great event, with most placements linking to the ticket page.
You can now hire Tom Hardy lookalike to teach your kids to read - because why not
Another great campaign by Rise at Seven for one of their clients in the education field. I love how they always relate their campaigns to their clients and the product they actually sell. It always results in relevant links from relevant sites.
New study reveals the age you'll discover your favourite band
TickPick have had links from 25 different domains according to Ahrefs with this campaign, including a lot of relevant music and radio sites. I was actually suprised to see these results from a survey with 500 respondents, as I'd class that as quite low. Nevertheless, the campaign and visual is really great and the story relates to most people making it super newsworthy.

In the week where Fury defeated Wilder and Stormzy received the first EVER Greggs black card (jealous), there were a whole host of interesting and successful PR campaigns, along with some fantastic insights.
Some of my favourites have been stunts including a pub on the London Eye and making a Tom Hardy lookalike available to read to your children. There's also a strange deathly theme in this issue, with selfies that kill people, and the new trend of death cleaning.
We also learned how to build more links with reactive PR and learned how to 'time block' to make our work more efficient and fun.
Have a great week!
